testing scribefire

UPDATE: Formatting was really, really screwed up. (I did enter the urls by hand, so that might be a problem. But so are the lack of paragraph breaks scribefire outputted - it put br/ in there, but Drupal didn't do anything with it.

And no tags, which is a deal-breaker.
/UPDATE

Just a test to see if scribefire works for my Drupal site. (It should.)

The new, new look

Think I finally decided on the new look for Misguided Thoughts. And it's pretty much like to old one smiley

Same basic layout and dark colors. I tried so hard to make a theme with a light background - something like the standard white ones you see all over the net - but I didn't like any of the ones I tried. So I resigned myself to the fact that Misguided Thoughts will for the foreseeable future have a dark theme.

Excuse the Mess...

Working on a new theme. Some things still aren't quite right - like the sidebar. (Yeah, pretty much the whole sidebar isn't working for me.)

But it works, even in the dreadful Internet Explorer.

I'll tinker with the theme more this week. Feel free to leave your thoughts on the theme here!

The Problem With New Years Resolutions

I'm not a fan of New Years Resolutions. It's not that I think they're bad things, but I have a problem with the word "Resolution."

To me, a resolution is simply an empty promise to yourself. Anyone can resolve to do anything but without specifics there's nothing to back it up. And that's the problem with New Years Resolutions. Most people don't go that extra step to set achievable goals to back up their resolves.

Last Weigh-In of 2007

Date Weight Belly
Jun 01 165# 38" (approximate)
Dec 29 141# 34"

I'd say it was a pretty good year in the weight loss department. But I still have a few more inches to shed from my waist.

I need to get back to exercising. Haven't done that regularly in a couple months. Plus the holidays were a killer for me food wise. Too much good stuff! So for now I need to focus on exercising and watching what I eat... which is the cornerstone of all weight loss programs.

Merry Christmas, Season's Greetings

Wishing everyone a great holiday season!

Dear Readers,

Please excuse my absence from my site. I know I haven't been a faithful maintainer of this site and I've neglected many of you. For instance, I haven't reported that Lost has moved to Thursdays at 9pm and will debut January 31, 2008. That's big news that I haven't posted about.

Misguided Thoughts Classic

Decided to bring back what I call the 'classic' look of my site. The dark colored background with the light font.

I've been trying out different looks for the site, mostly the white background with black/dark text, but it just didn't seem to look right to me. So I came to the realization that Misguided Thoughts needs the dark theme.

I was also toying with the idea of porting the site over to Drupal. After many hours of trying to get things to work I decided that Drupal would be overkill. And as much as I don't like WordPress, I knew that it worked and decided to keep on using it.

Dietary Diary October 27 - weigh-in

Sep 29 148# 35"

There's nothing like consistency is there?

The Winds of Poetic Justice

I was about to post about the wind storm that's coming to Western Washington. About how the rhododendron in front of my window was already at a 45 degree angle. I was going to gripe about the wind, and that, if I wanted to endure wind, I would have stayed in Oklahoma.

I was going to post that but the power went out for a couple minutes.

Poetic Justice, I suppose.
