I've updated this page with the winners. I thought I did pretty good in the major male/female categories. George Strait was a big surprise for me, getting song of the year and single of the year. Way to go, George!

I also have to admit that Brad Paisley surprised me as the Top Male Vocalist. Honestly, he's not that enjoyable to listen to anymore. (I can't stand "Ticks.") A few years ago, this would be an appropriate win for him, but not this year. (Sorry, Brad. I guess after Celebrity, it's downhill from there...)

The Academy of Country Music is about to give out their awards, so it's time that I give out my predictions.

Well, not really predictions, but hopes. Or rather, who I think should win. I've used two designations. "My Pick" are who I'd like to win, and "Probably Win" are those that I think will. (I'm a bit annoyed that the Dixie Chicks weren't nominated for "Taking the Long Way." I LOVE that song. Of course, I usually only hear it on the Canadian country station...) Anyway...

Sad but true, Sara's husband, Craig Schelske, Republican, cheated on her, was into pornography, and photographed himself with an erection. Many, many times.

If Sara Evans wins Dancing with the Stars, I'll give up all "reality/competition" tv.

Seriously.

At least for the next couple months.

I caught the Tuesday show, and Willa was much better than Sara. Much, much better. (Jerry Springer was just funny.)

Yet Sara wasn't in the bottom two tonight? What is wrong with you voters?

Mario, if things work out like they seem to be, is next to go. (Well, Springer should be next, then Sara, then....)

(It does pain me a bit to write this, since I love Sara. But, as a commenter here said, dancing isn't Sara's thing. It's music.)

So Sara Evans danced well tonight on Dancing with the Celebrities Stars. I should have know that. I thought she could have been a liitle more sultry and less reserved (I guess that's what you do when your husband is a Republican elected official.)

I was starting to think that Sara was like those Star Trek movies. (Yeah, seriously, I thought that.) The Star Trek movies, at least the first half dozen (I get them confused after that... like, did the Borg time travel movie come before the Data in the hay movie? That's the way I remember them. But not the order.)

The big tv event is the season three premier of Lost! From the previews and interviews I've seen, year three should be a lot better than two, especially (or because of) JJ Abrams being more involved.

In Dancing with the Stars news, will Sara Evans be booted off? I did catch her dance last night and it was horrible. The emotions of a wet blanket. (And I love Sara Evans!)

Kidnapped is one of my favorite new shows this year (based on the first two episodes.) I hope it catches an audience.

The title of this post is really a misnomer, since (1) I haven't seen the results show nor have I heard who was eliminated, and (2) for the most part, I don't care.

But from what I read, Sara Evans survived last nights competition.

And really, that's all I care about.

ABC may have finally given me a reason to watch "Dancing With the Stars" this fall.

Sara Evans!

Not only is she hot, but now we can see her do some sexy Latin dancing.....

And looking at the lineup, she'd be the only reason I'd watch the show.
