Hole in the Wall

Tagged as:

Just saw the first episode of Fox's Hole in the Wall. I thought it was okay - and it did surprise me that it was a half hour, going faster than I thought it did.

However, I have a feeling that this show will get real old, real quick. It's just people going through holes in walls, or getting pushed into a pool of water. There's really nothing more to it than that.

Dancing With The Stars May 2008 Winner

One of the best parts of living on the West Coast is that I can find out who won those "live" competition shows before it actually airs here. And thanks to the internet, I don't even have to watch them!

So Kristi Yamaguchi won Dancing With the Stars!

Moment of Truth - Utterly Unwatchable?

Tagged as:

Anyone bother to watch The Moment of Truth last night on Fox?

I probably watched a total of three minutes of this show and found it to be unwatchable. And I'm not even talking about the content, but rather the fact that it was boring as hell.

And production value? A big screen TV, two chairs, and a little TV swiped from the $60,000 Pyramid. I didn't even get the scoring? (I did see the new scoring mechanism on One Versus One Hundred, which was much improved.

And, seriously, who hasn't had erotic fantasies while at a church service. (From a mild "He's Hot" to a less tame "I'd do her right now," church is a great place for that.)

I would love to say we've reached the bottom dregs of the Reality Show barrel, but I'm sure something worse will come up.

Sabrina eliminated from Dancing With the Stars

Lately I've been getting email complaints from this site. Not about this site, but complaints in general. I know that people sound off about what they don't like, and I've received quite a few comments about Lost not premiering until February 2008. (Wait until the Battlestar Galactica fans find out that Season Four won't be on tv until April 2008!) I actually don't mind these complaints - to a certain extent. Hell, I'd be complaining to on a lot of things.

Dancing With The "Stars" 2007 - Wayne Newton!

Another year of Dancing With The "Stars", another year that they forgot the stars.

Seriously, this show is losing creditability for me. On this years list, I only care about two people, and the rest I may have heard of, or never heard of and can care less about. But the two I can care about....

OMG! Wayne Newton! Dancing With The "Stars"! If you're under 40 like I am, you probably don't give a rats ass about Wayne. But for folks older than 40 or (dare I say) 50, Wayne is a True Star.

Jane Seymour. We haven't seen a lot of her lately, but in my mind, she's great.

Terry Fator on America's Got Talent

Tagged as:

I have to say I'm glad Terry Fator won the 2007 edition of America's Got Talent. Terry's a ventriloquist, which is not only a difficult talent to learn, but also a novelty. And fun when done right. And Terry did it right!

I guess I'm just tired of singing competitions. And that's what a show like America's Got Talent can become. And almost did with its top four (and last years winner, Bianca.) Not that I don't like singing, but seeing someone else's talent win just made that show so much better.

The SYTYCD Shocker

I think most of America (those that watched So You Think You Can Dance tonight) were just as shocked as Neil was when Cat announced that he made it to the top four.

And that look on his face was priceless!

While I like Neil, I think that Pasha would have been a better choice for the finale. But I have a feeling that this year Sabra is going to win.

Neil or Dominic going home tonight? SYTYCD 8-1&2

After the August 1st show, I think Neil is heading home. Which is a shame, since I like him. I'm sure Danny will be in the top 2 (fitting, since his bro Travis was last year, and I preferred Travis to Benji.) I'm pretty sure the judges are trying to get a woman to win this year. And I'm sure one will. The women have a lot of talent.

So tonight I'm predicting Neil heading home for the guys. (But it could just as well be Dominic.) For the girls, probably Lauren.

(And that was a great Mia Michaels routine last night.)

That Hell's Kitchen Narrator

Tagged as:

Was it just me, or did the Hell's Kitchen narrator have a thing for Vinnie? I ask because tonight there were two sexually explicit lines. "And Vinnie is about to impress Chef Ramsey with his meat" and "Vinnie struggles with his meat." There was just something there...

Isn't this just the worst lot of chefs ever assembled? None of them really deserve to run an Applebee's Kitchen, let alone that one in Vegas. Of the bunch, Rock has my vote of winning.

I'm just not into So You Think You Can Dance

For some reason, I just can't get into So You Think You Can Dance this year. I watched this weeks first round of eliminations, and nothing really stood out. In fact, few of the dancers stood out to me. (Maybe it's because I can't really get into anything - my mind is all over the place.) Perhaps it's just too early in the season. I think once they knock down a few more, I can get into it more.

Wednesday, I noticed that Neil (I think it was Neil, tall blond guy) was wearing a blue shirt and dark tan shorts - reminded me of something Travis wore last year.
