Huckabee Wins West Virginia

It's a little after 5:30 Pacific on Super Tuesday and the news reports are all aflutter with preliminary results even though many polls haven't closed and most precincts haven't finished counting. But one state is done. And I just have to shake my head about this one.

West Virginia. Mikey Huckabee won West Virginia.

Come on. Is that something to be proud of? Really, is West Virginia even a real state? (It was formed during the Civil War - If I remember correctly - which was illegal.) In the grand scheme of things, does WV even matter? It's not like winning New York or California. Or even Arizona or Georgia. It's West Virginia.

But I guess it's the only thing the Huckabee campaign can be proud of these days.

So Let's Bomb Iran...

Mayor Jim West Recalled

Spokane, WA, mayor Jim West was ousted from office today.

West, a Republican who served in the state legislature was known as a "blunt-spoken conservative who opposed gay-friendly legislation."

This past spring, West was found to have been cruising gay chat room looking for men and allegedly offered one a job.

And today this champion of Conservatism and family values was recalled as Mayor.
