Mary McDonnell arrives at Seattle Grace!!!! Finally a reason to get excited about this show! Not that Kevin McKidd wasn't a reason to get excited about. But Mary McDonnell!

On CBS at the same time, CSI deals with a death in Koreatown. The promos CBS is airing makes it look sooooo good. Good enough to miss Mary McDonnell? Probably not.

Over on NBC, Dr. Greene shows up in flashbacks. You remember Mark Greene? Back when ER was really, really good and not just a caricature of itself that it is now? (And wasn't Greene the first doctor we saw in the pilot - getting woken up from the on-call room?) Worth seeing.

Over on the CW, Smallville is really good this season, even without Lex and (especially) Lana. And I've finally seen an episode of Supernatural which I also thought was really good.

Fox, however, has Kitchen Nightmares.

My picks are marked with a Smiling .

Mary McDonnell on Grey's Anatomy November 13

mary mcdonnellFor those Mary McDonnell fans, she'll start her three episode arc on November 13 playing a doctor with Asperger's syndrome. (Here's an interview with her at ew.com.)

Also Mary related, the November 3 issue of TV Guide has a list of the top 10 most memorable 'tv' presidents and Mary's Laura Roslin came in at #9.

#9?

Oh, come on! She should be in the top 5! After all she had to do and suffer with for these four seasons, she deserves more than #9! She even had people shoved out of airlocks! (Sure, they were cylons, but still....) (And the real William Jefferson Clinton came in at #1.)

Should Katherine Heigl Leave Grey's Anatomy?

Yes, she should leave

Mary McDonnell on Grey's Anatomy

Battlestar Galactica's Mary McDonnell is reported to appear in a multi-episode arc of Grey's Anatomy!

First Kevin McKidd, now Mary McDonnell. Two amazing actors that I may have to watch this show for!

(And any thoughts on which Grey's Doctors Mary will push out the airlock first? I'm thinking Izzy.)

House Anatomy?

Rumor is that four new characters will be added to the cast of Fox's House M.D. next season. The four will be working with House.

But we'll also be seeing his former cast members. Chase, Cameron, and Foreman will be back, too.

So there'll be House and the new four, plus Chase, Cameron, and Foreman, plus Cuddy and Wilson. Nine principle actors on the show.

My biggest fear now is that the show will turn into Grey's Anatomy. Like, seriously.

Grey's Anatomy - Private Practice

Tagged as:

So I watched the two hour Grey's Anatomy episode (The Other Side of this Life) which served as a pilot for a new spin-off starring Kate Walsh (Dr. Montgomery).

And I really can't say that I liked it.

Sure, the cast was hot, but the writing on the episode (which was written by Grey's creator Shonda Rhimes) was forced and pretentious.

Is NBC really dumb?

Tomorrow March 22, ABC is airing a new episode of Grey's Anatomy instead of the scheduled rerun. They're doing this so GA can lead into their new drama October Road (which I believe did well in the ratings, though reviews seem to be lukewarm.)

NBCs new show The Black Donnellys follows a rerun of Heroes.

If they (NBC) were playing with that proverbial 'full deck,' should they have worked it out to have a lead-in show like Heroes have new episodes too?
