The season that started with House hosting his own version of Survivor ended with two of the best episodes of the series (or best episodes of most of tv in the 2007-2008 season) ever.

House Season Four will be available August 19, 2008.

Bones Season Two

Is it true? American Idol hasn't aired on the West Coast yet - it just finished its East Coast live broadcast - and technorati has posts regarding the winner...

David Cook? Seriously? My mother, who for the past few days has been saying that the other David, Archuleta, was going to win. And as far as I knew, he was the one to beat. (And beat Cook apparently did.)

(And I should point out that I barely saw any of this years shows - bits and pieces only - and I really didn't care who won. And you don't have to win AI to get a record deal - second place isn't that bad.)

As bad as the Bones season finale was, the House season finale was 100 times better. The reason: House gave us character moments that were real.

I haven't been a huge fan of House this season. I enjoyed the beginning when House went through his Survivor phase to get his new team together. But once everyone was assembled, I really could care less about them. Thirteen (Olivia Wilde) is fine. The one guy, Harold or Kumar, I don't know which, I didn't like. (I don't even know the character's name.) Taub just doesn't feel right. And with Cameron and Chase barely getting any screen time, it's just not the same. (And notice they didn't even change the opening credits this season?) If they just got rid of Chase and Cameron, I would have preferred that; the expectation of them actually doing something would be gone and I could just focus on the new team. Alas, not.

I hated this season finale for Bones.

Hated. Hated. Hated.

Was reading on tvguide.com an article about how Fox should change American Idol next season since it seems it's slipping in the ratings a bit. (I guess being #1 isn't good enough.)

I'm not a fan of the show, but I have watched it on and off over the years. Now, I don't think anything would make me watch it more often than I do - tuning in from time to time - but here are my suggestions for improving the show:

1. Get rid of Paula. She adds absolutely nothing to the show. Her comments, when they actually do make some semblance of sense, are useless. "You look great" doesn't help a singer.

2. Cut the result show in half. An hour to get rid of one person? That takes 5 minutes out of 45. The rest is wasted time.

3. Keep the auditions. Yes, I like the auditions. They may not add anything to the show, but it's great fun.

4. A suggestion on the tvguide post above said that the viewers should say who the bottom two are and the judges pick the person voted off. I like that as it keeps quality singers around. (This could be done for the first 6 weeks, then after the Sanjaya's are gone America can vote for real talent.

Even if Fox takes these suggestions to heart, I still probably wont watch the show. After all, it's still karaoke - without the words in front of them...

Finally! May 22nd on Fox!

So You Think You Can Dance really is my favorite tv 'reality' show. (Okay, it's a competition show and not a 'reality' show, but it seems that people in the 'biz' can't differentiate between the two.)

Why do I enjoy it so much? Two reasons - 1) the people who actually make it to the competition are talented, and 2) they actually do something and not just stand there and sing.

In my mind, American Idol is worthless. People stand and try to sing. (Or as Jimmy Kimmel says, it's karaoke night.) It's 15 minutes of fame for most, and only a few contestants are memorable. Plus, if you don't actually win, you're better off.

Dancing With The Stars is okay. But it does seem like the same show over and over.

America's Got Talent is also just okay. I like the fact that its a call-back to the Vaudeville and the variety show days of old. And having someone win who wasn't a dancer or a singer was definitely a plus - I'm referring to Terry Fator, the ventriloquist of course!

But So You Think You Can Dance is different. It's kids (young adults) who have talent and actually do something of their own on the stage. They don't rehash (and murder) old songs; they work with a professional so brings a unique product to the viewers.

And let's face it, any of us can try to sing; how many of us can really dance like what we see on the show?

Looks like Fox is renewing Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles!

And we all rejoiced!

Prison Break is one of those shows that people either like or hate, especially the last couple of seasons. Personally, I didn't care for the first season (In Fox River) or the second season (On The Lam) but I did enjoy the third (Sona). Sure, the Company storyline was a bit over the top, but seeing them in that prison under those circumstances was at least entertaining. (And killing Sara didn't bother me at all.)

As for Sarah Connor Chronicles, this show was screwed from the minute Fox didn't put in after the Super Bowl. Fox was advertising it during all those football games, and having it after the Super Bowl would have done wonders for its ratings. Instead they put House there, which already had a large viewership.

But I guess there were enough fans to warrant Fox to look into bringing it back.
