One of the best parts of living on the West Coast is that I can find out who won those "live" competition shows before it actually airs here. And thanks to the internet, I don't even have to watch them!

So Kristi Yamaguchi won Dancing With the Stars!

The person voted off tonight is....

Marissa.

No surprise there (I called that last week.)

As for my prediction for next weeks winner of that lame-ass globe thingy, it will be between Jason and Kristi. Cristian, although coming father than I (and I bet everyone in America) thought he would, doesn't stand a chance.

So it's between the professional dancer Kristi and the football player Jason.

That's right, Kristi's a professional dancer. Sure, she had skates on and performed on ice, but if you define 'dance' as movement to music, then, yes, she's a professional dancer.

Mario voted off. Methinks Marissa is next.

Didn't watch it. Didn't care to. Did see that Marlee Matlin got voted off. Also noticed that Mario was in the bottom two. Didn't see that coming.

But I'm anxiously awaiting Fox's So You Think You Can Dance. At least that's fun to watch.

I guess Priscilla Presley got voted off the show, which wasn't surprising. So far none of the stars voted off have been unexpected.

In fact, I think they should just fast-forward to the top three and have Kristi Yamaguchi, Jason Taylor and Mario have their dance off, since the three of them are way above the others in skill.

(And I actually didn't watch this weeks show. I'm just not that interested.)

I keep getting a lot of hits regarding Dancing With The Stars so I might as well post something about it... even though I only tune in every once in while when it's on.

But tonight I'm happy to announce that Adam Carolla has been voted off. I'm sad to announce that Julianne Hough has been voted off.

Yeah, I couldn't stand him. Never, ever could. And I guess he started last night's routine on a unicycle, which should have been a big clue that he was going to fail at this competition. And if Julianne had any sense, she would have nipped that idea in the bud long before they walked (or rode) on the stage.

But I honestly believe that Julianne wanted to end this run. She has her music career to attend to and winning another year might take time out of that.

Is this the year that Julianne Hough gets voted off before the midway point? Is this the year her brother Derek wins the coveted Disco Ball (with stand)?

The cast for the upcoming Dancing With The Stars Season 6 (which begins March 17, 2008) was announced, and I was anything but impressed. (And no, I didn't put myself through two hours of Bruno and Kari Ann pleasuring themselves - hey, Dance Wars gives them two hours to stroke something of themselves, and I'm not sure it was their egos. But I digress.)

Thankfully Marie Osmond didn't win. Helio Castroneves took home the prize (can it really be called a prize, a disco ball with stand?) and Julianne Hough took her second consecutive win. My faith in these stupid tv call-in voting competitions is restored.
