Criminal Minds May 21, 2008 "Lo-Fi"

criminal minds castWow. I heard that someone was going to get badly hurt in a bombing during tonight's episode, but by the looks of that SUV, I'm sure that whoever it was would probably wish they were dead.

So who was it?

Personally, I hope it's David Rossi. I like that character - who is strikingly different than Gideon was - but I can't stand Joe Mantegna's acting on the show. Everything about him is 'off' - especially his line readings.

NCIS May 20, 2008 "Judgment Day"

Tagged as:

Spoilers Below.

When the voters on this site indicated that they thought Jenny Shepard, NCIS director, should be the one leaving, they were right. Gunned down, in fact. Going out fighting. Tough-as-nails Jenny - dead.

But that's not the end of the story. I read that the season finale of NCIS would have "far reaching consequences" going into next season. And after the last minute of "Judgment Day" I see what was meant.

Dammit! They almost killed Horatio!

Tagged as:

horatioThey almost killed him. Really, whoever shot him should have had better aim and made sure they finished the job. Why? Because killing Horatio would have improved the show. As would getting a new writing/production staff. But I digress.

Actually, I have no idea what I'm talking about. I don't watch a lot of CSI:Miami and I didn't watch last night's finale. But I heard that Horatio was shot. And it looks like he's dead. (And I heard that Ryan turned into a bad cop. Didn't they do that on Numbers last year?)

So I guess the question remains: Would David Caruso leave Miami? From everything I've read, probably not. It's a good gig for him. People (I guess) seem to love him. And really, he is the show. (Although a Calleigh Duquesne spin-off would be interesting.)

So I wouldn't worry about it. After all, Delko was shot and he's still around. So it's a safe bet that Horatio will be around to whip off those sunglasses and say the stupidest lines ever written.

Who Dies on NCIS? Complain Here!

Tagged as:

UPDATED BELOW

Tonight's the night that someone dies on NCIS. Sad but true. And, no, I don't know who will be leaving the show or why they're leaving. All I know is the cast will be one short next season, and the death will be one of the main characters.

A few weeks ago I created a poll (Click Here) and the overwhelming response was that people wanted Jenny Shepard gone. She got over 85% of the vote. All the other characters got a few votes. So if Jenny dies tonight, there probably wont be a lot of weeping and gnashing of teeth. Or just plain complaining.

However, if it's one of the other characters, methinks there will be hell to pay.

So feel free to complain here. (If your comment is marked as spam by my over-zealous spam eater, I'll get it unmarked. Just avoid spammy links in the url field.)

Is Ziva really going to die?

Tagged as:

If you watched the latest episode of NCIS - the Baghdad episode for those reading in the future - and saw the preview for the next episode, you saw Ziva laying on the ground presumably dead.

So is this a red herring? Is she really going to die? Would they do that to one of the most popular characters? (On my poll Ziva only has 4% of the votes of people who think she should leave, while Shepard has over 85%).

Then again, they might have made it look like a red herring knowing that a lot of people would see right through that and call them out on it, but in fact it really is happening - Ziva leaving.

If she does go, I'll miss the interactions she had with DiNozzo. Those two play off each with such ease; and the teasingly sexual tension, too!

*Sigh*

Khandi Alexander Leaving CSI:Miami - and we all say, eh...

Khandi Alexander leaving CSI:Miami?

khandiI'm not a CSI:Whatever fan. Especially Miami. The original is okay, and I haven't seen enough of CSI:New York to have an opinion one way or the other, but Miami, although one of the most popular shows on TV these days, just sucks.

Instead of focusing on the crime, more time is spent of graphics and special effects than, say, acting. You know, there's only so many ways a man can take off sunglasses. And give one liners. And Miami has done them all.

But Khandi, after the stopped talking to dead people, was fun to watch. Sure, she didn't have as much screen time as the others, but she made the most of what she had. And her character felt more real. (Although I do have to admit I prefer Ducky over on NCIS as a medical examiner.)

Will this make a difference to the show? Probably not. It's an escapist series. You don't have to do a lot of thinking when watching it. (Also on TV Guide, one of the columnists said to watch CSI:Miami as a comedy; and he's right.) Lost requires thinking and a whole lot of energy. Miami doesn't. And I guess that's one of the draws.

(It's actually surprising more people haven't left the show - most of the core cast has been there from the beginning.)

Anyone that'll miss Dr. Woods? Khandi? Think this will hurt Miami?

Big Brother - James' Tattoo

Tagged as:

So I'm watching Big Brother, something I normally wouldn't do or admit to doing. (I've only seen about a half dozen episodes - total - of the show, which is about the same number of Survivor episodes I've seen.) I'm wondering why Adam didn't put James up for eviction on Sunday (just to cause strife? He'll be voted out soon, methinks. Or at least, wont win.)

And I'm also wondering about James' tattoo. You know, the one they keep blurring out.

Well, if my source is correct, it's because of two things - it's a trademark and it has the word "cunt" in it. (And Prestigious Cunt?" Huh?)

james' tattooAnd my question is, why, of all the tattoos a person can get - and I imagine there are literally millions of variants - why the hell would one get this permanently attached to their body? Seriously, that has to be the ultimate of stupidity or he was really, really, really drunk at the time.

Who Should Leave NCIS?

Total votes: 313
