Kings (NBC) DVD

Kings DVDKings - Season One will be available later this year. (Shame NBC just decided to cancel the show instead of finding a new timeslot that would work better for it - if such a slot existed.)

Terminator Terminated? Huh?

Just when I thought NBC had the stupidest television executives on the planet, FOX may be prepared to cancel Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. (Source)

After a really good season 2 finale that set up a whole new ball game for the show, and a Terminator MOVIE set to debut soon, canceling this show just doesn't make any sense. At all.

A MOVIE! Sure, it may not tie in really well, but it would bring more attention to the series.

*Sigh*

The Kings is dead...

Tagged as:

It seems that NBC has canceled Kings. I'm not surprised about this - I don't think anyone is. I think I have more favorite shows on the CW than NBC right now. But Kings was a though sell to the audience though. It wasn't action; it was pretty cerebral. I thought it had potential and that it would get better before long (like Journeyman which did improve with time - just as it was also canceled.)

I think NBC will be airing the rest of the episodes of Kings, so the other dozen or so fans don't have to worry much. Details on the remaining episodes.

And at least we got to see Ian McShane again. I miss him in Deadwood.

There will be a Kings - Season One DVD available.

abc is (almost) dead to me - Pushing Daisies, Dirty Sexy Money, Eli Stone canceled

It has apparently happened.

ABC has effectively canceled Pushing Daisies. And Dirty Sexy Money. And Eli Stone.

But the good news is that The Bachelor is coming back soon! (There was enough sarcasm there to drown a fish.)

So now the only ABC shows I will watch with any regularity are Brothers & Sisters and Lost (when it returns in January.)

Good job, ABC, on canceling Daisies without trying different timeslots.

OMG! Pushing Daisies, Dirty Sexy Money, and Life on Mars Canceled?

It seems that ABC may officially cancel Pushing Daisies, Dirty Sexy Money, and Life on Mars and replace it with even worse crap shows.

(I actually life Pushing Daisies and Dirty Sexy Money, so I'm not a fan of this.)

Source 1 and Source 2.

So is this a smart move for ABC, or should they give those shows, two of which were causalities of the Writer's Strike, another chance?

Do Not Disturb canceled

Tagged as:

"Do Not Disturb," the new Fox sitcom starring Jerry O'Connell has been canceled.

- Insert Rejoicing -

And it seems it's the first show this season to fail. (And, really, did anyone really think it would last?) Although Hole in the Wall, also from Fox, is being replaced this tonight with a second episode of Kitchen Nightmares.

And, really, Fox, you dumped Back to You for Do Not Disturb? At least Back to You was watchable.

Journeyman's End

It appears that Journeyman will not be renewed.

Which is a shame. I feel that the show was just beginning to find its place, its pace, and its direction. Yes, it took a long time to get there, but the ride was just beginning and now I feel a bit let down that the show, which I honestly didn't think would make it, wont be back next year.

Maybe some explanations about what was happening should have been explored earlier in the series.

Thoughts on Journeyman

Tagged as:

Journeyman was a show that I thought would have been canceled early in its life. In fact, I believe that it would have been if there wasn't any threat of a writers strike. It's a confusing time-travel story starring Kevin McKidd as reporter/unsuspecting time-traveler Dan Vassar. The first few episodes (what I caught of them) were a confused mess. As with any intricately plotted story, few answers were given. But I've been watching this show more an more over the last few weeks and I have to say I'm enjoying it more and more.
