Desperate Housewives - April 19, 2009 - "Look Into Their Eyes and You See What They Know"

At the beginning of the episode, Edie says "I died just as I lived... as the complete and utter center of attention." However, what we got in the episode was a compete and utter disaster.

For one thing, the flashback stories seemed bland. It was as if they were trying to make Edie look good. But it’s hard to make the neighborhood skankwhoreslutbitch be anything but what she was. (Which refers back to the ‘center of attention’ line, too.)

Another reason was production value of the episode. For a memorial episode, all I will remember was the crappy green screen they used for the car. The background looked gawd awful. In this day of advanced computer graphics, they went with the old ‘80s look for the car trip and it failed horribly. Gawd that was bad.

My main reason for hating this episode was that they did it a couple months ago. And they did it well. Remember the handyman Eli Scruggs episode with Beau Bridges? That was an amazing episode that shed light on the characters. Briliantly done on all accounts. And "Look into Their Eyes" is utter crap compared to that.

Seriously, what was everyone thinking when they made this episode?
