Sharon Stone's Bad Karma

Maybe it's just me, but I find her remarks about the China earthquake being the result of 'bad karma' funny. (The earthquake itself was a terrible tragedy, mind you. I'm not trying to diminish the impact it created in millions of lives.)

If Pat Robertson had said that the China quake was caused by God being upset that China refuses to accept It (Him, Her, Whatever), a lot of people wouldn't blink. After all, New Orleans was flooded during Hurricane Katrina because of a gay pride parade (if you believe such nonsense.)

Yet Sharon Stone said it was due to 'bad karma.'

Bad karma or God. Any difference, really? With either, you're equating a natural disaster - disasters that just happen - with a supernatural belief. Yet if Pat Robertson says it, it's fine.

Seriously, people, natural disasters happen because something in nature makes it happen. It's pretty simple, really.
