I spent three days and I could only get 50 minutes into this movie. Anyone remember it?
(IMDB Link).
It's about a kid who gets beaten up and left for dead, but his non corporeal is hanging around in limbo until he dies. So he tries to get people to find his body before he dies 'for real.'
The problem I had with this movie is that two-thirds of the way through I really didn't care if Nick lived or died. I had no emotional connection to this character. And this may be because he had no emotional connection to the other characters.
And I guess it all has to do with his mother. When his mother was reading his work, did he empathize with her? I didn't get that. Did he realize that he was all she had since his father died? Did he want to connect with her? I got nothing.
So I don't know how the movie ended. I'm assuming he lived, made some sort of amends with mom and his attacker, and that Mom decided to let go of him and let him live his life. And then kick the ass of his friend who lied to cover his own ass.
So not a movie I care to see the end to. Especially if I'm right about what I think the ending is.
