Second episode of the season was a bit of a drag. We did get to meet the people who were there to rescue our stranded friends.
Oh, wait, they couldn't care less 'bout Jack and Co. They want Ben.
Apparently Ben goes around the world annoying people to the point of homicide.
So who do we have?
Miles Straume is, what, a simple con man? (Just what the island needs, another Sawyer.) And that whole exorcism thing was a bit weird.
Charlotte Lewis is an archaeologist. I have no doubt she's there for the Four Toed Statue that the rest of Ben's people went to hide at. And Dharma loves it polar bears. A polar bear with a Dharma harness in the desert. Pretty weird.
Daniel Faraday is probably the most enigmatic of the bunch. He's a physicist who seems to know more about the island than he's letting on. (And after watching the Desmond episode, we know a bit more about him.)
And Frank, the helicopter pilot who was supposed to have flown flight 815. If he did fly it, everything would have changed. He might not have flown back and they all would have made it to LAX alive.
The revelations about Ben were interesting. He's been off the island, even though he said he hasn't been. And he has a spy aboard the ship that's coming to get him. That man is resourceful.
