Lost - May 23 - Through the Looking Glass - Season 3 finale

I knew it! I knew it! I knew it!

When Jack was on the bridge, just before he was about to jump, he looked at the obituary he tore out of the paper. At that moment I knew something was up.

It wasn't a flashback.

It was a flash forward!

Oh my god.

Jack was never the suicidal one. Even at his lowest, he still kept his wits about him. So having him try to jump off a bridge just seemed off.

And so we had one of the greatest twists in tv history.

They were rescued. At least, at some point they will be. Maybe there's more to tell. We don't have all the answers. Hell, we don't have any of the answers.

And Locke (and Ben) were right the whole time.

Damn.

And speaking of Damn...

Charlie actually died in this episode. And it was a great death. A heroic death. It was the way Charlie should have died.

I was wondering about the title of the episode, "Through the Looking Glass," from Alice in Wonderland. Great choice, not just because of the underwater station that Charlie died in, but because, after watching the episode, you suddenly saw the characters through a looking glass of sorts, from the 'future.'

I might have more to say later, but now I need to process all this.

Are you sure its a Flash Forward when we see Jack on the Bridge and with Kate? I think its a Flash Back, because Jacks father is obviously still alive. In the hospital when his collegue wants to talk to him he asks him to call his father "...if I am drunker than he is you can fire me...". Jack also uses a prescription signed by his father in the pharmacy. Jacks father already died before the crash. This Flash cannot be a Flash Forward.

I actually thought the episode was really weak. I knew from the moment we see Jack it was a Flash Forward which changed my whole idea of the show, why would I continue watching this show when they're going to do that to Jack. Also why did Charlie die? It wasn't a heroic death it was a stupid death. He could have easily gotten out of there with no problem. If he was doing it because of the vision then that was stupid too because turns out it's not Penny's boat. It would seem to me you need to get back up to the surface and make sure they know that. Or here's an idea try and contact Jack see if someone had a walkie on them. This show let me down big time, I once thought this show was incredibly well written and was the epitomy of all shows. I was completely wrong. All I can say is thank goodness "Heroes" doesn't have the same writers or producers.

it's definitely a flash-forward.
1. Jack didn't know Kate until the crash.
2. Oceanic gave them Gold Cards/ Free travel.

As for his dad, remember, Jack never found the body, just the empty casket.

So something is up with dear old dad.
