i thought it would be nice to talk with someone who has the same name. i know i have entirely too much time on my hands, but my new budget dictates i dawdle away as much time as possible in an attempt to stay my spending habits...and this was curious at the moment. notice the name isn't common, yet on a planet with some 6 billion people... so there - for a wacky new forum.
oh, and BTW - nice forum for a community - i don't think i could have done better myself...
wouldn't you know it! It appears I have my very own doppelganger! How cool is that!
I actually know one other person with my name, but it is rare, especially in the Pacific Northwest. There are quite a few Hodgkins in the North East, though, mostly around Maine. I guess most of them just don't migrate West.
actually there is a very famous david hodgkins in the boston area - a symphony conductor and writer, i believe. haven't heard anything recently from him or about him. last check there were 5 -6 of us nation-wide. additionally there is the township/village of hodgkins located just outside chicago.
rightly put, re: northeast, my family comes from the coal-mining area of the skullkyl valley in penn. there also is a large community of hodgkins' in the beaver dam area of WI.
I lived in Denver awhile - not exactly west, but very scenic.

not necessarily evil
a doppelganger just means double. We like to add the 'evil' part because it works better that way in movies.
I've driven through Denver a couple of times. And was stuck at the airport for a while once.
