Misguided Thoughts

I don't mean to sound rude or callous, but in a way I'm glad the Pope died.

Now, it's not that I wish people dead. I'm sure he was a great guy. And no, we probably didn't see eye-to-eye on a lot of issues, but of all the people in the world (and, more specifically, all the religious leaders in the world) he's one that I liked.

Ever notice that both Gandalf the (insert color here) and the Pope both wear pointy hats?

The main problem with Alien vs. Predator is that it was hard to define what kind of movie it was. Technically, it would fall under the science fiction category. (Two alien species trying to kill each other.) But that doesn't work.

When you're through watching a science fiction movie, you want to be able to say, Wow, could that really happen? It should make you think about life here on a grander scale. AvP didn't do that. Even the teaser at the end wasn't unexpected.
