Misguided Thoughts

So I'm thinking about upgrading an old hard drive (20G to a larger one, and was doing some looking online when I came upon this:

Fox is having it's Octomom special tonight.

If it gets more than 7 million viewers, it'll just prove that America loves talentless trainwrecks.

UPDATE: What a loser! Fox only had 4.2 million total viewers (according to the LA Times) which is, of course, 4.199 million too many.

A couple years ago I posted about how the php forum system RadiantBoard wasn't revolutionary. Well, in any revolution one side has to lose. And it appears that RoboticRodeo was a casualty of that fight.

This shows me that instead of hyping your content management system, you spend time creating it and building your following. Superlatives are a poor substitute for good functionality.

So after an amazing four years of the re-imagined series on SciFi, we get to watch another re-imagined attempt at the theater?

I feel so cheated right now. I seriously hope this is a joke.

Just found out that Ben Lyons and Ben Mankiewicz are no longer the hosts of At the Movies.

Thank the gods.

Added the Troll module I found for Drupal (http://drupal.org/project/troll) and re-enabled comments.

Of course, the fun part starts now - Did I set it up correctly? Are real people getting banned? Etc. Etc.

I hate spammers.

UPDATE: Five minutes after I enabled comments, I get 5 spam comments in the antispam queue.

Gods I hate spammers.

I've been getting hammered today by the scum of the internet - comment spammers. I got over 180 240 spam comments in the last five hours.

So until I get some black listing service up (in addition to Akismet) I've turned off comments.

NBC made a huge mistake putting Conan on at 11:30.

I could only stand about a minute of the monologe - but it was the same shit he had at his old show. It was Conan jumping around and waving his hands and being a dumb-ass. It was sad and pathetic. And I won't watch it again.

In fact, my 11:30 choice is now NightLine.

I wont be watching American Idol tonight (the Adam vs. whoever finale); instead, I'll be watching Criminal Minds since pigs eating humans should be much more enjoyable than anything American Idol has to offer.

But I will be watching So You Think You Can Dance next week (I think, or the week after.) At least those contestants can do something remarkable.

Deal or No Deal returns? Heaven help us all. Especially those idiots at NBC. They need all the help they can get. (They canceled Life, those bastards. Not that I watched it much, but I liked what I saw.)

FOX gives us more Amber. CW gives us more Georgina. What can be better than that!
