Business Week and I agree about The CW Network

At least David Kiley does.

On January 24th I posted this entry saying how I thought CW was a stupid name for a tv network.

On January 25th, Business Week posted this entitled "CW Network Doesn't Roll Off The Tongue."

And I still agree. The CW is a stupid name for a network.

The CW IS a stupid name.

I have to agree. I've hated it since the CW name was first announced, and months later, I haven't changed my mind one bit. Apparently, I won't ever be used to it, it seems.

I liked The WB, and I liked UPN, as names and networks. But the name CW just doesnt do it for me. I wouldn't repeat it to others if i had something else to call it.

If a name makes a Network, then the CW is already in trouble. As for whether the network survives or not, its fate may already be sealed by the lackluster lineup chosen. While a few excellent WB shows are kept, tons more are lost. And what is being saved from the UPN just isn't impressive at all. So with no new blockbuster hits on the horizon, it will come as no surprise as the CW fails to exist after a few seasons, if it makes it that long.

Get Ready America...CW is here! Just about the corniest name ever invented for a TV network. Whoever came up with that deserves to have their head bashed in with a steel pipe! WB was bad enough! Why not call it...Eye Network Television WATCH Everybody Hates Chris...Tuesdays on EYE!! (doesnt that sound better folks!!)... if it ever is called Eye, I will sue though bc that would mean someone from the net read my post & took my idea.

There is already an "i" network.
The old PAX station is now "i". It's been that for several months - since before the summer.
The "i" network brought back old classics like Green Acres, Partridge Family, Mamma's Family, The Monkees, and Bonanza.
It also still shows reruns of DOC and Diagnosis Murder.
I think "i" wants to be similar to TVland, which is fine by me.

The CW took the crap from UPN and took off the good shows from The WB. The finale night of The WB proved what good shows it created and it will be greatly missed.
UPN was always the joke - if someone told a stupid story, the catch phrase people would say would be "that sounds like a bad UPN show". UPN also had shows with racist scripts, and now they brought that over to CW!?
Everwood and Reba were well written shows and CW would rather have Girlfriends and Friday Night Smackdown....and UGH!!! reruns of OLD epsiodes of American Idol!?????
What were they thinking???
CW should stand for "Can't Watch" TV

CAN'T WATCH IS RIGHT. AS A BIG FAN OF EVERWOOD AND RELATED I CANNOT FOR THE LIFE OF ME FIGURE OUT WHY 7TH HEAVEN, WHICH IS BORING TO SAY THE LEAST, COULD POSSIBLY WIN OUT OVER TWO MUCH BETTER WRITTEN AND ACTED SHOWS! I MUST GO BACK TO READING, VIEWERS VIEWS ARE NOT IMPORTANT TO YOU GUYS, SO I'M CHECKING OUT!!!!!!!!

Lets call a spade a spade. UPN featured the majority of African American shows TV, they can't have that, can they?
