I haven't really posted anything concerning American Idol in a while, mainly because it hasn't really been all that interesting. I saw last weeks episode, but since I'm not a Stevie Wonder fan, I just gave it a shrug off. And this week, although I'm not a Barry Manilow fan, I wanted to see this take on the 50s.
And tonight's episode reiterated what I've known since AI first aired: Simon Cowell really is the show's Reality Check. Bucky didn't have a great song; I even checked out what was on the other channels during it. Taylor's song was just so repetitive and uninteresting. Chris' version of I Walk the Line was okay.
Mandisa, however, rocked. I hope she makes it to the top three. And so far my top three picks are Mandisa, Paris and Kelly.
EDIT: This post is from 2006. I'm not watching American Idol this year.
