When I was in LA last February (2004), I picked up a copy of the LA Weekly. Last week, I ran across it and opened it up for the first time. As I was paging through it, something struck me...

Page 2 - Ad for Lasik Surgery
Page 3 - Ad for Bunion and corn removal
Page 5 - Ad for laser hair removal
Page 6 - Ad for laser hair removal
Page 7 - Ad for laser hair removal
Page 9 - Ad for breast augmentation/tummy tucks/etc. and an ad for laser hair removal
Page 10 - Ads for laser hair removal, erection dysfunction and "safe" liposuction.
Pages 12 thru 18 were content, except
Page 18 - Ad for skin therapy and massage therapy

Page 19 - Full page Altoid ad
A few more pages of content
Page 24 - Ad for cosmetic surgery
Page 24 - Ads for botox
Page 34 - Ad for cosmetic, facial and eye plastic surgery
Page 35 - Ad for "Image Enhancement Center"
Page 40 - Ad for tanning, an ad for hair extensions
Page 42 - Health Boot Camp.
Page 46 - Ad for hair transplant and an ad for martial arts classes
Page 47 - Ad for laser hair removal and colon hydrotherapy "Don't ignore your gut feeling" is their tagline.
Page 48 - Ads for cosmetic dentistry, tanning, liposuction, and strip clubs.
Page 49 - Ad for massage therapy
Pages 50 thru 53 are for travel and food
Page 54 - ad for collagen injections
Page 56 - ad for 5 week intensive weight loss program, ad for "digital" dentistry, ad for Bi-Sexual encounters, and an ad where you can sell your eggs for $5000.
Page 58 - ad for OCD, and ad for plastic surgery
Then the movie ads start
Then on page 133 the Nuddie Bar and sex ads start

So, isn't anyone in LA happy with themselves?
