tvTonight - Life on NBC

Tagged as:

When I first heard about Life, I was certain it would fail. It's about a cop who was framed for a crime and sent away for twelve years. He's exonerated, given a huge settlement, and he goes back to work as a cop in order to find the people responsible for putting him in jail in the first place.

It stars Damian Lewis (who?) as that cop (Charles Crews), and Sarah Shahi as his partner (Dani.)

lifeI was 100% sure it would fail in a month until I found out that Robin Weigert was on the show. Robin played Calamity Jane on Deadwood. She was amazing there. Probably one of the best acting jobs ever. She also played Juliet's sister on Lost. Robin really should get her own show. A starring role. Not as a character actor who come on every once in a while.

So even despite Robin, my hopes for this show are slim. It's a cop show going up against CSI:NY. (And Dirty Sexy Money on ABC.)

Anyone remember Raines last year? Anyone? I wouldn't be surprised if Life has the same fate.

Wednesdays, 10pm. NBC.
