emmy2007 - Drama - Best Actor Categories

The Best Actor category is tough. A lot of really talented actors stepped up their game this year to give some amazing performances. It really came down to who gave the most memorable performance. And there was a lot to chose from.

The amazing performance nominees are...

Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series
Boston Legal - James Spader as Alan Shore
House - Hugh Laurie as Dr. Gregory House
Rescue Me - Denis Leary as Tommy Gavin
The Sopranos - James Gandolfini as Tony Soprano
24 - Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer

I just hope Hugh Laurie gets this one. But with my luck....

Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Drama Series
Boston Legal - William Shatner as Denny Crane
Grey's Anatomy - T.R. Knight as George
Heroes - Masi Oka as Hiro Nakamura
Lost - Michael Emerson as Ben
Lost - Terry O'Quinn as John Locke
The Sopranos -Michael Imperioli as Christopher Moltisanti

This supporting actor category is a tough one. Most of them deserve to win; they have create such great characters. If I had the first five characters standing in front of me and I had to give this award to just one, I'd have to pick...

Michael Emerson. Ben from Lost. He's just creepy. And it works. Hiro would be my second choice.

Outstanding Guest Actor In A Drama Series
Boston Legal - Christian Clemenson as Jerry 'Hands' Espenson
ER - Forest Whitaker as Curtis Ames
House - David Morse as Michael Tritter
The Sopranos - Tim Daly as J.T. Dolan
Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip - John Goodman as Judge Robert Bebe
Studio 60 On The Sunset Strip - Eli Wallach as Eli Weintraub

I have to say that this one is tough, too. Forest Whitaker was great; I enjoyed John Goodman's Judge. Eli Wallach had an amazing part on Studio 60. But I'm going with Forest.
