That Idiot Dell Sales Rep

Tagged as:

No, I'm not talking about a sales rep that wanted to sell me a Dell computer. I'm talking about this idiot who left a comment on my site yesterday that I deleted.

(This is not an "I hate Dell" post, either.)

Seriously, this guy was clueless.

Way back in December, my Dell died. Then in February it started again and still works to this day, albeit slowly. And in my post titled Got My Dell Working this guy calling himself "pq sales rep" and using dell.com for his URL and email wrote:

i work at dell and i hate all of you fucking crybaby customers. go to hell, all of you.

I didn't even say anything bad about Dell in that post! Sure, I didn't replace my Dell with another Dell but rather replaced it with an Apple Computer. But the old, dead Dell is still working, slowly, and sits not five feet from me.

And the only reason I bring this up is that the commenter seems to be from Austin, TX. The home of Dell.

Which means Dell may have some really pissy employees. (And I should note that I don't think all - or even the vast, vast majority - of Dell's employees think this way. This guy, if he was really a Dell employee, was just... an idiot.)

I work at Dell and part of my job is to engage in online conversations that are relevant to Dell and our customers. I have to say I'm dismayed that any employee of Dell, or someone purporting to be, would post something so wrong and unprofessional. This certainly does not reflect any sentiment held by Dell and, at the worst, represents the misguided view of one bad apple out of the 80,000 or so Dell employees who are committed to provide a positive customer experience. If you still have this individual's contact information I would appreciate you sending to me via my e-mail address. And if you need assistance with your Dell system, please feel to contact me and I will try my best to get things resolved.

More likely it's a disgruntled Dell employee who's a square peg in a round hole working for them. It might also be just someone who couldn't let their day pass by without flaming someone online. At any rate, don't let it get to you since it's anonymous and a nobody.
