CSI: Miami - Internal Affairs

Tagged as:

I'm not a huge CSI: Miami fan, but I know enough about the show to have some opinions on it. And tonight, I have a few.

The episode in question is the one where Natalia's ex-husband is found dead, and Natalia is arrested for the murder. The episode for me was rather hard to follow (try as I did) and really not that interesting. But what I found intriguing was what didn't happen.

Natalia, a crime scene investigator (read: police officer) was at the scene of a crime. She was a material witness to this crime. And she didn't report it. She ran away. When confronted, she withheld information that was pertinent to the case.

And nothing happened to her. (Did anything ever happen to her because of this?)

As a police officer, she should be held to a higher standard, but even Horatio didn't brow beat her with his witty one-liners.

Nothing happened.

And if she did report it as she should have, with her testimony (and the one who did the pushing) it most likely would have been called self-defense.

This was definitely a bad, bad episode.
