Two things about the new NBC show The Black Donnellys:
1. I can't stand the framing sequence with "Joey Icecream." It's not funny; it doesn't add anything to the plot; and he's basically just really, really annoying. If this show goes on for much longer (and I have my doubts that it will) there had better be a really good payoff with him.
2. Who the hell is everyone? They have all these people who just pop in and I'm not sure who's who. The guy with the ax? Irish or Italian? And what's his deal? It may have been explained, or they all just look alike to me. I don't think I should be confused about who all those characters are.
I'm not sure how many episodes NBC ordered, but I doubt it'll get to the summer.
