J'onn J'onzz in Smallville

Maybe it's just the fan-boy in me, but I thought it was pretty cool that Smallville (on the CW) will have the Martian Manhunter J'onn J'onzz (pronounced John Jones) in a recurring roll. TVGuide.com interview.

I usually don't watch Smallville; I saw the first two seasons on DVD then dropped it. I did catch last weeks "Justice" episode where we got a glimpse of the formation of the Justice League of America. (Yet I can't say I was all that impressed by the actors.)

What they need is a female heroine. Maybe WonderGirl/Troia. Raven would be good, too. (Yes, I was a Teen Titan/New Teen Titans/Titans fan growing up.) Something to counter the testosterone. (Okay, Raven wouldn't counter it; she'd probably just kill them all.)

very cool. I like that they are shying away from the Superman by himself aspect of the show. I like the idea to incorporate some of the more timeless AND newer characters in the superherouniverse into the one show. I believe that no matter hoew many more seasons smallville runs, a new justice league show is on my mind...
