Pligg

I really have no idea what Pligg is about. Even after reading their about blurb on the site:

What is Pligg?. Pligg is Web 2.0 Content Management System (CMS) unlike any other existing CMS. Pligg's Web 2.0 user interface gives your visitors a reason to come back to your site by making them decide on the site's content and giving them the chance to social network. By giving users the ability to collaboratively submit and dismiss articles, you are offering an experience that users are happy to take part in on a daily basis.

Really, what the hell would I use this for? That's really what I should find out in the about section.

Now I'm thinking it's a MySpace type application, which would be wonderful. On OpenSourceCMS.com we get a lot of questions about systems that can do a myspace-type behaviour.

But really, an about blurb should be more helpful than what they gave.

NOTE: This application has to be installed in your website root or subdomain (i.e. pligg.mydomain.com). It wont work in a subdirectory (mydomain.com/pligg). I'm not 100% sure of the server requirements, but I didn't see php5 anywhere.

I read it. I even quoted from it. But it seriously wasn't clear as to what it was for.

And as I usually do, I have to ask, Is that it?
